How it works
Blog posts live in one place under Sites > Blogs. You write, add a picture, choose an author and a category, then publish. To show the posts on your website, you add a Blog Post element to a page.
Make your blog (once only)
Go to Sites > Blogs and create a blog site if you don't have one yet. You only do this once.

Click to create a new post. Write in plain words, the way you'd explain it on site. Short paragraphs. Answer the question in the first two lines, then explain. Add a photo and a short, friendly call to action at the end.

Add yourself as the author and pick a category so posts group neatly. Fill in the title and description that will show on Google, and a clean web address.

Save as a draft first and read it on your phone. When you're happy, publish it.
Show it on your website
Open the website page where you want posts to appear. Add the Blog Post element, choose your blog and save. Then publish the page.
