How it works
If lots of addresses bounce, inbox providers decide you're a spammer and your emails start landing in junk, even for good customers. Checking addresses first, and checking the email, protects the name of your sending domain. Do these checks before a big send, and especially on an old list.
Check at import for a new list. Run a check on a list you already have. Run the spam check on the email itself. Read the bounce report after you send.
Check addresses while you import
Switch the beta on
Go to Settings > Labs and switch on Email Verification in Contact Imports.
Settings› LabstipIf you can't see it, ask revenu to switch it on for you.
Import your file
Go to CRM > Contacts > Smart Lists > Import and upload the file.
CRM› Contacts› Smart Lists› ImportTick the verification box
On the final step, tick the email verification option. Checking addresses is a paid service, so it costs a small amount per address.
Review what was removed
Look at which addresses were dropped as invalid. Check the list again every 90 days or so if you email it often.
Your list has no dead addresses, the email passes its checks and your next send lands in inboxes.
