Beta: ask us first
Field Services is in private beta. revenu needs to request access for your account first. Ask us and we'll set it up. Once it's on, Field Services appears in your left menu with a Beta tag. Screens may change while it's in beta.
Field ServicesHow it works
It runs the whole life of a job in one place. A customer asks for work (a request). You quote it if needed (an estimate). Once it's a go, it becomes a job at their address. A job holds the services, products, price, checklists, notes, invoices and payments, and has one or more visits: each visit is a trip out on a date and time with one or more techs. Visits land on the schedule, which has a map and can reorder each tech's day to cut driving. Service areas decide where you go, which techs cover them, and whether travel time or a call-out fee applies. Techs log time against visits on timesheets, and you invoice from the job.
Requests: where new work starts
A request records what the customer needs before anything is agreed: their details, the service address, a description, up to 10 photos, and any services or products. They come in from your booking page, from contacts (if Requests is on in settings), or your team adds them under Requests > New request or in the mobile app. Turn on Schedule site visit to send someone out to look first. Requests move through New, Scheduled, Action required, Converted and Archived. From the three dots, choose Convert to estimate or Convert to job.
Field Services› RequestsEstimates: your quote
Field Services > Estimates > New estimate, or Convert to estimate on a request so the customer and the work carry over. Estimates waiting on the customer show on the Field Services home page.

Jobs and visits
Field Services > Jobs > New job (or Convert to job). Pick the customer and service address, add services and products, then save and click Schedule visit. A job can have several visits, like a quote visit then an install day. Each visit needs at least one service, which sets how long it takes and which techs can do it. Job status updates itself: Unscheduled, Scheduled, In progress, Action required, Ready to invoice, Closed or Cancelled. When the work is done, use the three dots > Close job.
Field Services› JobstipAddresses outside your service areas are flagged on the job so you can check them before sending someone.
The schedule, map and routes
Field Services > Schedule. List view has Upcoming, Unassigned, Completed and Cancelled tabs. Calendar view shows each tech as a column with an Unassigned column for each day, in Day, Timeline, Week or Month layouts. Click Map to see the visits plotted beside the calendar. Unscheduled opens Jobs to schedule. Route optimisation reorders a tech's visits for the day to cut drive time and shows the time saved; lock any visit that has to stay put.
Field Services› ScheduleTimesheets
Turn them on in Field Services Settings > Global settings > Preferences and features > Timesheets. Techs start and stop a timer on each visit (on the web or the mobile app), or add time by hand. Admins can fix anyone's entries, and every change is kept in the history.
Invoices and getting paid
Open the job. The Billing card shows the job total, what's been invoiced, paid and still owing. Click Create invoice. A job can have more than one invoice, for example one per visit. All invoices are listed under Field Services > Invoices. You can invoice without a payment provider; connect one if customers should pay online.
Field Services› Invoices
Use Field Services if you send techs to customers' addresses and want requests, quotes, jobs, routes and timesheets in one spot. If you only need people to book a time with you, a normal calendar or a service menu is simpler.

At the top of the page, choose Block booking or Allow booking with review for addresses outside every area.
