How it works
Conditional logic is an 'if this answer, then do that' rule. If someone picks 'Emergency', you show the urgent questions. If they pick 'Routine', you skip them. Shorter forms get finished more often, and you only collect what you need.
Forms show or hide questions on the same page. Surveys work in steps, so logic can skip whole steps or send people to a different page.
In a form
Open the builder
Go to Sites > Forms and open the form in the builder.
Sites› Forms› BuilderMake the deciding question
Use a dropdown or radio buttons so the answers are fixed. Free text is hard to match.
QuestionHow urgent is it?Answer 1Emergency, I need help todayAnswer 2Routine, I'd like a quoteOpen Conditional Logic and add a rule
Add a rule with a condition: when 'How urgent is it?' is 'Emergency, I need help today'. Choose what happens: show the questions that only matter for emergencies, and hide the rest.
Test every branch
Open the form and try each answer. Check the right questions show, and the right ones stay hidden.
The form or survey changes with each answer, and people only see the questions that apply to them.
