How it works
A subscription is a product that bills again and again at an interval you choose. The customer pays once to start, with their card saved, and then each charge goes through on its own. Every customer on a plan shows under Commerce > Subscriptions with their status and billing history.

3 ways to do it

A recurring product with a payment link for a plan anyone can join. A recurring invoice for one customer on set terms. A contract when they need to sign terms first.

Create a recurring product
Add a product and give it a recurring price with a billing interval, such as monthly.

Shown with example details. Copy pastes the version that fills in your own business and each customer's name by itself.
Sell it
Sell it with a payment link or an order form on your website. Put the amount, how often and how to cancel next to the button.
Watch it
Customers show up under Commerce > Subscriptions, with their status and billing history. Failed payments show there too, so you can follow them up.
